Schedule
Note: The schedule is subject to change. Use this as a guide only.
One Week Prior: Race instructions are emailed to competitors, and posted to the website.
30 Minutes prior to Registration: Plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled Registration time, so that you can organise your gear prior to receiving the race maps and instructions.
Race Registration (approx. 1hr prior to start): Attend the registration tent with an indemnity form signed by both team members. You will then receive your event maps and instructions.
Post Registration: Use the time before the race brief to read the race instructions carefully. Plan your route and perhaps mark it on the map. It is also important that you weather-proof your map, whether by contacting your map or using a waterproof case, available from most outdoor stores.
Race Brief (15min prior to start): Come prepared and ready to start the event. As soon as the brief is finished, the gun will go off and you'll be underway.
Race Start (Usually around 8am): When the gun goes, you're off! Remember to have fun and smile for the cameras.
Lunch (From about 11am): When you finish the event, tuck in to a hearty lunch and mingle with other participants as you wait for presentations.
Presentations (Usually around 1pm): Hang around for presentations. Not only might you end up on the podium, you might also win a spot prize for fancy dress, the best team name, or the gnarliest crash.
