EVERYONE RELAX! - It's a race report from team "everyone relax"

24 November 2013 iAdventure Race Report – Everyone Relax

Pre Event

I’m not sure really where it all started.  Perhaps it was Kath’s decision to compete in her first 10km fun run this year, which then led to some focused training and the conversion of Kath into a genuine runner (with a natural style and stride consistency that makes me truly jealous!). Maybe it was the orienteering and rogaining Kath has done over the past few years. Maybe it was the training she did with That’s Cray when we were training for XPD. Or maybe after supporting me at enough races, including the tough gig of crewing a few geoquests, Kath finally just decided she may as well compete rather than wait around at the event hub.

Sydney Adventure Race Report - Paul Grundy

IAdventure Narrabeen Race 29 September 2013.

Teams "Hurry Up Dad" and "Come On Mum".

Once again the weather gods were shining their sunny light upon Narrabeen for the IAdventure Race.

In conversation earlier in the week my wife had offered that I race off with Rebecca in tow and complete the course, and she would “plod along”, with Alicia. That conversation ended very abruptly when I mentioned that if this were the case then she would need to navigate – response was OMG, you mean with a map and compass, so it was quickly decided we would complete the race alongside each other.

Race Report - Australia's Next Top Models

Australia’s Next Top Models were excited to be racing in their final event of the year.  The team for this race consisted of father and son Pete and Murphy.  At 11 years old, it was to be Murphy’s first race and it’s fair to say he was a little nervous about what was in store for him in the week leading up to the race.  After arriving at Tin Hut and collecting the registration kit, Murphy was bemused and perhaps a  little distracted from final race preparations after a visit to the ‘long drop’ style toilet.  Rather surprisingly the smell was not enough to put him off and he would make another visit post race as well….
